With respect, this is precisely the attitude that marginalizes minority populations.
We cannot wait for gentiles to come to us and ask for inclusion. They do not know our systems exist. They do not know what is possible. It is our responsibility, as the ones building these specifications, to anticipate their needs and make space for them.
If we build it, they will come. If we do not build it, we have told them they do not belong.
