Nachmani says we do not interact with IANA registries. My grandfather once received a letter from a government office in Budapest. The letter said: "In response to your application of 15 March..."

He had never submitted an application. He had never written to this office. He had no idea why they were responding to him.

He wrote back: "I did not submit an application."

The office wrote back: "Your application has been denied."

He said: the moment you acknowledge them, you are in their system. The denial means nothing, he never applied. But now there is a record that he interacted with the office.

"IANA Considerations: None" creates a relationship we do not have. We are telling IANA we have no business with them. But why tell them anything?
