Ben-Ari's skepticism is understandable. But I wonder if he is asking the right question.
The Geek Code was not a religious document. It described technical preferences and lifestyle choices. What we are proposing describes something else entirely.
Have we considered whether the form is appropriate to the content? A format designed to say I prefer Emacs over Vi may not be suited to say I keep kosher.
