Subject: Summary and path forward

The committee has now discussed the Geek Code precedent for over a week. I will attempt to summarize the positions:

R. Nachmani advocates adopting a similar model. The format would be expressive and human-readable. Strict parsing would not be required.

Devorah has demonstrated that the format is not machine-parseable in any conventional sense. If we adopt it, implementations will need to handle ambiguity.

Dr. Stern questions whether this is wise. Ben-Ari questions whether it is necessary.

Reb Kovacs suggests that interpretation, not parsing, may be the correct frame.

R. Miriam has asked why we need a format at all if it cannot be parsed. This question remains open.

The chair proposes we proceed with the following understanding: we are designing a format for human expression, not machine consumption. Implementations should accept blocks gracefully without requiring strict conformance. The specification describes vocabulary, not grammar.
