Subject: A simpler approach
I want to return to first principles.
We are designing a format for people to describe their relationship to Jewish identity. The format should be: - Easy to write - Easy to read - Easy to share
Nothing in these requirements demands an ontology. A person with a text editor should be able to create a valid block. A person reading the block should understand it without consulting a schema. A person sharing the block should be able to paste it anywhere.
Dr. Lobel's proposal adds capabilities. It also adds requirements. I am not convinced the tradeoff favors complexity.
