The chair's observation is helpful, but I think the cases are different.

Context tokens describe situations. @BKN means I am in Brooklyn. @YOM:RH means it is Rosh Hashanah. These are external facts.

The slash notation in identity blocks describes the author. K+/- means my kashrut practice varies by context. This is an internal fact about the person, not an external fact about the situation.

The contexts being varied between are not physical locations or calendar times. They are aspects of the author's life. Perhaps not even that, perhaps they are aspects of the author's self-understanding.

I am not sure we can define these.
