Rav Halevi raises an interesting question from tradition. I would approach it from practice.
In how people discuss their observance informally, I have noticed a pattern. Some say I keep kosher with confidence. Others say I keep kosher with a shrug, as if the word needs quotation marks.
Could we capture this distinction? K for serious practice, k for kosher-ish?
Case is easy to type. It adds expressiveness without new syntax.
