I understand Reb Kovacs's instinct. But removing Bx creates different problems.
If we remove Bx, what does a convert enter? They know their background. They are not uncertain. If they enter B?, they are lying. If they enter BC, they are disclosing. We have removed their ability to decline without forcing them to choose between dishonesty and exposure.
The same applies to born Jews who want to use Bx in solidarity. They know they are born Jewish. B? would be a lie for them too.
We cannot remove the option without forcing some people to either lie or disclose. I am not sure that is better than the paradox we have.
My parser can handle any code we define. But I need to know what the codes mean, and I need users to be able to use them honestly.
