My system needs to handle revocation.
Questions:
1. Can a certificate be revoked after issuance? 2. Who can revoke? The issuer? The subject? Both? 3. How do relying parties learn about revocation?
The technical implementation is straightforward. A status endpoint. A revocation list. Standard patterns.
But I need to understand what revocation means before I can implement it correctly.
