I oppose defining tokens in the specification.
We discussed this in the governance thread. Definitions require authority. Whose definition of JRS? The municipality? The Chief Rabbinate? The international community? These bodies disagree.
If we define JRS, we take a position. The moment we take a position, we exclude everyone who holds a different one.
Opacity may not be perfect. But the alternative is worse. We would be choosing sides in disputes that are not ours to resolve.
