I have been quiet because I do not know what to think.
My instinct is that Devorah and Ben-Ari and the Rebbetzin are right — opacity is not neutral. It protects those who do not need protection.
But R. Nachmani is also right — defining terms is choosing sides. We cannot define Jerusalem without becoming part of the argument about Jerusalem.
Perhaps both things are true. Perhaps there is no good choice, only choices with different harms.
I do not know how to vote on this. I do not know if we should vote.
