Devorah is right, and I must acknowledge my proposal has led us somewhere I did not intend.
I wanted to capture something real: that experiences shape us. A person who went to Ramah, who did Birthright, who spent a summer on kibbutz, they carry something.
But the attempt to encode this has revealed problems I did not anticipate:
1. The richness is too great. An entire specification could be written just for formative experiences. 2. The category is not universal. Every example privileges some community. 3. The verification problem undermines our design principle. 4. Implementation requires knowledge no parser should need.
I do not withdraw the proposal, but I acknowledge it may not belong in this specification.
