R. Nachmani proposes languages. But most Jews today do not speak these languages.
My grandfather spoke Yiddish. My father understood it. I know some words. My children know nothing.
If I write Lang:yi, what am I saying? That I speak Yiddish? I do not. That my family once did? So did most Ashkenazi families.
The languages are gone, mostly. We cannot encode what no longer exists.
