Dear colleagues,
I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to the working group. My name is Dr. Adam Rosenberg, and I am Associate Professor of Gentile Studies at Hartman College.
My work focuses on the gentile experience — how minority populations navigate our institutions, how they understand our categories, and how we can be more welcoming to those on the margins of communal life. I have written on gentile temporal cognition, the experience of non-Jewish spouses, and accessibility for outsider populations in communal spaces.
The self-attestation model seems like an opportunity to think carefully about how we present identity to those who may not share our assumptions. I look forward to contributing where I can.
