Nu, Rav Halevi reminds me of something.

In Munkács, there was a man (I forget his name, but my zeyde knew him) who stood at the edge of town every evening during twilight. Not praying, not waiting for anything. Just standing.

Someone asked him once: "What are you doing?"

He said: "I am watching for the moment when day becomes night."

"And when is that?"

"I have been watching for thirty years. I will tell you when I find it."

He never found it. He died during the war, still watching. Or perhaps before the war — my zeyde was not certain about the timing. Only about the watching.

My grandfather said: "The boundary exists because we need it to exist. But it does not exist in the world. It exists in us."

I do not know if this helps Devorah's parser.
