My implementation does not care about neutrality. It needs a consistent label to match against.

If the registry says SHUL means "synagogue," my parser can process SHUL. If it says KENISA is equivalent to SHUL, my parser can process both. If the community in Baghdad wants a registry where KENISA is primary and SHUL is the variant, they can publish their own registry. My parser can consume either.

The question is not what the token says. The question is who publishes the registry.
