My zeyde used to say the goyim in our village had their own calendar. Not just a different year, but different holidays, different weeks even. He said their Shabbos was on Sunday, which I never understood. How can Shabbos be on Sunday? But he insisted this was so.
I do not know if this is relevant. But if they have their own calendar, perhaps they have their own everything.
