The Rebbetzin states plainly what I have been circling around.
Rosh Hashanah 1:1 gives us four new years because different things began at different times. The world was created in Tishrei — or Nisan, depending on which opinion you follow. Israel was born in Nisan. The agricultural year begins in Tishrei. The regnal year begins in Nisan.
Our specification picks one. It claims to be neutral. But there is no neutral position on when things began.
