Then what do I do with the identity blocks?
My system receives blocks. I parse them according to the specification. I validate the syntax. I store them in a database. And then what?
Suppose a downstream application asks: is this person Jewish? My system has a block that says they are. The specification tells me not to treat this as a verified claim. So what do I return?
"This person submitted a block claiming Jewish identity, but the claim is unverified and you should not rely on it." This is technically accurate. It is also useless.
If I cannot verify the blocks, what function does my system serve?
