She needs a label that says "this token is a denomination code." The specification already says O means Orthodox. The parser is not adding meaning. It is surfacing what the specification defines.
This is the difference between parsing and interpretation. Parsing says "the specification defines K as kashrut." Interpretation says "this person keeps kosher well enough."
The second is forbidden. The first is the parser's job.
