Hebrew support in software systems is inconsistent.
Right-to-left rendering fails. Fonts are missing. Legacy systems cannot process it. Every database I have worked with handles Hebrew badly.
ASCII works everywhere. This is not a cultural statement. It is an engineering constraint.
